On Distant Shores: Church-Planting Among the Antakarana on Nosy Mitsio, Madagascar

This video is about our ongoing mission to reach the Antakarana people of Madagascar. It showcases the lifestyle of the Antakarana on Nosy Mitsio, their religious beliefs and rituals, and our team’s efforts at church-planting among them. All of the footage is from 2013-2016. This is a short (promotional) introduction for now, and I hope to make a longer version with more video and more detailed explanations sometime in early 2017.

Adam Willard created and edited the video. Video clip contributors include: Adam Willard, Jurgen Hoffman, Shawn Mayle, Steve Orner, and Linda Devin.

Narrated by Adam and Lora Willard. All music is from Groupe Tsinfitaka from Nosy Be, Madagascar, including the songs: “Tiako Tany Ty”, “Kaza Mavozo”, and “Velogno Jeso”. The tribal drumming portions were recorded live at Ankarana National Park in 2013.
